All round weather protection. Side to along wide single dock. Stern to berths available as well as moorings in the pontoon. Haul out hard stand and small chandlery here too.
The access isn’t well marked. Look for the red channel marker at the creek mouth on the western side of the river. Best approached at high tide.
We’re currently self-isolating during the crazy covid-19 scare going on. The surrounding area around the marina is very pretty. Lush countryside, quite unpopulated.
Things to do near Port Takola Marina
Ordinarily there would be plenty to do around here but the covid-19 clampdown is on so I can’t comment.
The marina’s restaurant/bar is now closed.
Eat/drink/shop
There are many little kiosks in the small villages surrounding the marina where you can get local food, fruit and veges.
Further afield there is a 7/11 and family mart. For another 2.5km you can get to a Makro.
We found a stall with a great range of fresh vegetables and herbs opposite the main mosque in the area. (see map).
