Your driver will get you around fine to all the places you need to in the right order and will take you to get photocopies along the way as needed.

You need to visit Immigration, pretty quick and straight forward. You get a new stamp in your passport which you will need to take a photocopy of for Customs.

Next is Customs where you do paperwork and pick up the customs agents to take back to your boat. 4 of them… Because there are so many customs agents you will need to use a local fishing boat to transport them out to your boat as you won’t all fit in your dinghy. Then you have to have lunch, the Customs officials stop at the jetty cafe for theirs. They will offer to pay for your lunch, which they won’t actually pay for. You’ll get hit up at the end of the day to pay. After lunch drive the 30-45min drive back to “town” to take the agents back to their office.

Visit Quarantine. Yes, quarantine and that stupid green book. This will set you back 20,000 rupiah. Harbour Master won’t sign you out unless you’ve been signed off by Quarantine. When we visited we waited for hours until we managed to contact them. The officials were off at some festival. Thankfully they came back to the office to do the paper work.

Lastly Harbour Master. Two men smoking in a small office. Luckily this process doesn’t take long. I’d advise waiting outside.
