ON A BOAT NAMED TRAMP…
Tramp Australia is a Seahorse 52 LRC currently cruising South East Asian waters. We try whenever possible to sail only daylight hours, coast or island hopping. Cocktails on the foredeck often happen, weather permitting. Our plans and journey are flexible, often interrupted by some of the amazing places we visit. With a cruising range of about 2000 nautical miles, at a relaxed pace of around 6 knots, the world is our oyster.

Krabi River Anchorage
Riverside town, convenient anchorage to a really good fresh morning market and dining.
Port Takola Marina
Port Takola Marina is very well-protected from all sides. It appears to be in stage one of construction with one main pontoon offering alongside or stern to docking options. The marina is within an undeveloped estate surrounded in lush countryside.
Phi Phi Islands
It is easy to see why the Phi Phi Islands are so popular. Sheer cliffs, secluded bays, white sands and clear waters. Ashore there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, there’s enough to keep you busy at all hours of the day.
Pulau Pangkor
The bay at Pulau Pangkor where we anchored was pretty nice. Wide sandy beach, little island with beach in the middle of it. It would’ve been nice to have found it ten years ago before pollution had started to make its mark on it.
Pangkor Marina
Pangkor Marina is a well run marina and ship yard with reputable tradespeople making it a popular haul out and refit facility for cruisers.
Pangkor CIQP Lumut
Pangkor CIQP is pretty straight-forward from Pangkor Marina although all the official offices aren’t near the marina. You will need to hire a car or use taxis. The offices are in the neighbouring districts of Manjung and Sitiawan.
